project life | hello childhood mini kit: bridgeport edition

yes, this is the project life childhood mini kit: bridgeport edition. the one that is not available yet. becky higgins asked if i would like to put together some page layouts for a sneak peek and i couldn’t say yes fast enough!

what a great little kit this is! the bridgeport edition has more of the boyish colors – which is perfect for my own little boy’s album. it really was so simple to put these pages together. since i already had photos from this past year edited and saved on my computer, all i had to do was sort through all of the beautifully designed cards to pick out what i wanted to use, order prints of my photos, add some words + stories to the journaling cards and slip them all in my favorite design a photo pocket pages. that was it – done!

there are plenty of journaling cards to choose from in the childhood mini kit. i love how the colors in the bridgeport edition coordinate so well because it allows lots of different card combinations. this mini kit was perfect for helping me get started with quinn’s album. i also love how the cards were general enough to encompass all of the things that quinn does at five years old. he goes to preschool, but he also has lots of other things that make up his life. and i was able to include whatever i wanted because the cards are not just about school. they are about life.

and since this album is for and about quinn, i had him get in on the action too. he helped by writing + drawing on some of the journaling cards. i love that his handwriting is part of his album!

Debbie - I love what you did here and thanks for sharing! I’m on the fence between the digital and physical kit… I’m most interested in creating an album just for school that covers the basics of school, maybe 2 or 3 spreads for each year. So for those basic cards that one would want to include every year in a school album (self portrait, handwriting, favorite subjects, friends, fun facts, school info, etc.) are there only one of each of those cards per kit? I have five years of school to catch up on for my daughter; 3 for my son. Wondering how many kits I would have to buy to get all the basic school specific cards. Thanks for your help!

Susan Merrill - Awesome Tracy!! Thx for sharing!!
